Bloom, Corden join Waltz in 3D Musketeers


Orlando Bloom and James Corden are the latest names to sign on for an upcoming 3D ‘Three Musketeers’ movie.

Summit Entertainment, known principally for the ‘Twilight’ franchise, is behind the Paul W.S. Anderson film. Anderson (‘Resident Evil’; ‘Alien vs. Predator’) will shoot the film entirely in 3D, making ‘Musketeers’ his second in the format following the upcoming ‘Resident Evil: Apocalypse’.

Bloom will play the Duke of Buckingham. Corden will portray Planchet, a servant. Alongside Bloom and Corden is Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz as the villainous Cardinal Richelieu. The titular Musteteers Athos, Porthos and Aramis are Matthew McFayden, Ray Stevenson and Luke Evans, respectively, whilst Mads Mikkelsen, Milla Jovovich and Logan Lerman will also star.

The film in set for a summer 2011 release.
